APPLICATIONS OPEN!
uNCOILEd is the company’s annual production which initially began as a tribute to Nicole Fitzsimons, an avid supporter and friend of the company. It provides a platform for emerging and mid-career artists to develop works on our company dancers. Under the guidance of the company’s Artistic Director, Michelle Maxwell, this program has seen many company dancers make their choreographic debut and continue to create works for the company.
With support from MERRIGONGX and the Nicole Fitzsimons Foundation, this program now provides two supported residency opportunities for NSW-based artists.
2024 Residencies include:
12 days studio development with AUSTI. company dancers
Premiere at Illawarra Performing Arts Centre season (October)
Professional production video and photo documentation
Costumes allowance
Bursary provided

AUSTI. 2024 COMPANY AUDITIONS
for dancers aged 16 - 25
Part-time company artist & apprentice positions available
In-person audition process:
Complete the form above before midnight on 6 January.
Invitation to attend in-person audition based on your application before 10 January.
Be available to attend audition at AUSTI Summer Workshops either 16 or 17 January; includes company class, improvisation and repertoire.
Follow up zoom interview with Artistic Director, Michelle Maxwell.
Apprenticeship programs
we now offer an apprenticeship program!
Currently in the second year, the company offers an apprenticeship program to increase young dancers training and experience in a professional setting. Places are offered by audition only and are strictly limited. Auditions held annually during August.

Our company director and dancers are available for performances and to run workshops for your school or organisation. In the past we have been involved in fundraising and promotional events. Please note: availability will depend on the company's performance schedule.
INTERNATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES
The company has provided many overseas opportunities for its dancers, including Metamorphosis residencies, This allows our dancers to further develop their craft and to network with industry professionals and collaborate with numerous types of artists. We have also had company members invited to the One Small Step Festival in Corfu, Greece.

Our company knows the importance of being able to source choreographers and the finances involved, which is why InterMove was created. Schedule our choreographers to work with your company or school whilst they are visiting our company from interstate and overseas.
